Winning Consistently

By now you must be thinking, “How can I ensure that I will win consistently using the methods presented thus far?” The entire purpose of these pages is to assist you in playing the game without counting cards. It is my firm belief that you can win most of the time using these methods, especially the CLB methods, because I win most times that I go out to play! I actually win more now than I ever did counting the cards! You can also hedge your strategies by employing some casual counting during the game. This will be explained in Chapter 12. So, whether you casual count, use true card-counting methods, or not, never forget that the probabilities of winning and losing consecutive hands still exist, and the zone still exists.

The key is to understand the advanced strategies discussed in this chapter and tailor one that fits your needs and threshold of nervous tension. Remember, this is gambling in the strictest sense—there are no guarantees, although I wish I could say that there were! The best security a gambler can ever hope for comes from good discipline, knowing the odds, using some sort of playing and betting methods, understanding that winning most times comes slowly, and just to stick with it. Setting your goal for the session’s win is probably the most critical decision you must make, again, before you enter the casino!
